The problem
Investigators could lose time trying to learn whether useful private camera footage existed near an incident. The information was not available in one maintained place.
Project
Built a simple public registration and internal tracking process for community security cameras.
Investigators could lose time trying to learn whether useful private camera footage existed near an incident. The information was not available in one maintained place.
I implemented and maintained the Security Camera Registration and Monitoring program, built the public registration form, created the internal staff spreadsheet, maintained the intranet resource, and produced a public explainer.
The department gained a working bridge between willing camera owners and staff who might need to locate footage after an incident.
The evidence
The numbers and working sequence provide context for the outcome.
A simple bridge between the public and investigators.
